The Parallel Force |
|
Streeshakti aims at harnessing individual and collective energies of organizations
engaged in human welfare. This forum, apart from providing a platform of joint action,
also aims at the collection of related information. It is a movement to rouse and
activate women of every class and creed and empower them with the necessary inputs
to work as catalysts for fundamental social change. It is not an exclusive forum
and it would like to have a helping hand from everyone, men, women and children. |
100 Women's Forum
|
|
We seek your support to create a networking forum - 'A 100 Women's Forum'.
The proposed forum will have representatives from various sectors. All these women
will be achievers in their own fields and would work together as a think tank to
influence the policy makers for providing more space to women in India, SAARC &
ASEAN.

The SAARC Peace Initiative
|
|
We strongly feel that the SAARC nations need to further the peace initiative and
hence a meet is planned in Pakistan end of 2008. We seek your support for SAARC
Peace Initiative. This Initiative would create understanding and encourage women’s
groups to work towards peace. We hope to identify women leaders who will mobilise
people’s participation to further the cause.
|
|
Inspired by the stories shared by women delegates from 40 countries at the Jaipur
Conference on "Making Way for the Feminine: for the Benefit of the World Community",
organized by the global peace initiative of women, Times Foundation, Stree Shakti
the parallel force and others, it was realised that problems faced by women all
over the world which were discussed were similar albeit with different facades.
Hence through this SAARC Peace Initiative, women of the SAARC nations will ensure
that a peace zone for the co existence of man and women.
