Our inspiration:
The 100 Women’s Forum is conceived as a platform to articulate and enable the vision
of women across Asia and the world to create a balanced, just & equitable world.
100 Women forum will have Singapore at the center of it’s entire endeavor to create
a global forum where women & men will come together and pool together their experiences
to create a think tank to influence and affect policy change.
The centerpiece of the forum will be a network of women across sectors like government,
business leaders, political leaders, activists, academicians and women from media,
art & culture. The forum will provide an opportunity for women and men from different
sectors to come together, interact and arrive at consensus on issues that pose a
challenge to creating a balanced, just and equitable society.
This forum will base itself out of Singapore and focus first in Asia Pacific region.
As the economic balance shifts in the world, thought leadership and initiative must
come from Asia as Asia is also the region with the greatest population and therefore
the greatest need for a balanced growth. It will work to network and collaborate
with leading international bodies, prime universities, women groups and businesses
to strengthen dialogue on challenges faced in achieving gender empowerment & equality
to achieve a just and equitable society. We feel to reach such a point collectively
we need to affect policy change that can lead to:
|
|
• Economic opportunity & participation
• Educational attainment
• Political empowerment
• Improved health
• Sustainable environment
